Course Overview:

When students reach the Russian 5 online course they already have reading and writing skills, as well as background cultural knowledge. At this stage the students will improve their knowledge of Russian grammar, word-formation, and vocabulary and stylistics, as well as refine pronunciation and communicative skills.

At this level, students will be able to describe sports, healthy lifestyles, and animals; talk about art; hold a conversation about nature and the world around them; describe vacations; express an opinion about environmental protection; use the conditional mood; use verbs with passive meanings in speech; make complex sentences with conjunctions; use constructions expressing obligation, necessity, possibility and potential; and use conversational speech cliches and idioms.
