Course Overview:

When students reach the Russian 4 online course they will already have acquired an active vocabulary of approximately 1,500 words which allows them to build on that vocabulary through reading and speaking Russian. This level is designed to help students improve pronunciation and to enhance their knowledge of Russian grammar. It introduces some peculiarities of functional styles and expands students’ vocabulary and socio-cultural background knowledge. 

This course includes topics like movies, seasons, describing appearances, expressing agreement and disagreement, holding a conversation about books and literature, naming parts of the body and talking to doctors, describing symptoms, using dative subject-less constructions and instrumental and prepositional cases, using comparisons, knowing how to use reflexive verbs in sentences, using reflexive pronouns, making travel arrangements and dealing with travel problems, and describing spare time and hobbies.
